Sum it up: Stressful. I spent the entire month working on Comp Civix, non-stop.

February
1. Who was your Valentine in 2005? Caitlin
2. What did your valentine get you? Special special!
3. When you were little, did you buy Valentine's for your whole class? No

Sum it up: We took 2nd place at state. Depressed for weeks.

March

2. Do you wear green on St. Paddy's Day? When I remember.
3. What did you do for St. Paddy's Day in 2005? Nothing special.

Sum it up: I got accepted into UCSB! I'm now convinced it's the best college I could have possibly picked.

April

Sum it up: Broke up with Caitlin, ending a relationship that had lasted over two years.

Sum it up: AP tests. Dan Faustina for City Council. Memorial Day! I started dating Allie for the third time in my life.

2. Did you go on a vacation? Right here in Pleasanton!

Sum it up: Powderpuff! Graduation! Grad Night! This was quite possibly the best month of my life.

July
1. What did you do on the 4th of July? Angelica's, duh!
2. Do you go on any vacations during this month? Orientation at UCSB.

Sum it Up: Worked on the submarine, hung out with Allie, got oriented at UCSB, and just generally had a blast.

August
1. Did you do anything special to end your summer? My summer didn't end until the end of September!
2. What was your favorite summer memory of '05? Going to Lake Tahoe with Allie.
3. Did you go swimming a lot this summer? All the time, in multiple pools, lakes, and oceans in multiple countries.
4. Did you go to the beach a lot? A few times.

Sum it up: Travely! Spent less than half the month in Pleasanton.

September
1. Did you attend school/college in '05? Moved in on September 17th, and started classes on the 22nd.
2. Who is/was your favorite teacher? Ladd and Hanson.
3. Do you like fall better than summer? No. Summer should last forever, or at least until winter.

Sum it up: Went most of the month without a cell phone. Saying goodbye to Allie was hard, but I love Santa Barbara.

October
1. What was your favorite halloween costume ever? Shannon, dressed as a cheerleader.
2. What is your favorite candy? Ice Breakers Sours. They put something in them to make you crave them every 7 minutes.
3. What did you dress up like this year? An airline pilot.

Sum it up: Getting more comfortable in Santa Barbara. Met Emi.

November
1. Whose house do you usually go to for Thanksgiving? Dad's.
2. Do you like stuffing? Yes, usually.
3. What are you thankful for? How awesome everything and everyone in my life is.

Sum it up: Drove back to Pleasanton a lot. Had fun wherever I went. Watched The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

December
1. Do you celebrate Christmas? Yes (non-religiously).
2. Have you ever been kissed under mistletoe? Nope
3. What do you want this year for Christmas? Camera, money, beach mat.
4. What's the best present you ever got for Christmas? Lego Mindstorms!
5. Do you like cold weather? Yes.

Sum it up: Uneventful. Long winter break. Judging Comp Civix.

This Year's final Grad: A
Explain: Taking 2nd place at State and the loss of my car are nothing compared to the bonding I experienced in Comp Civix, graduating, spending the summer with Allie, and going to college. This has been the best year of my life.

Alright, well my traditional study habits struck back with a vengance today. I've got a 5 page paper due tomorrow, but instead of getting started I spent all day watching episodes of The West Wing (both old and new). Depending on how much self control I can muster up over the next few hours I'm either going to finish the paper tonight and be well rested, or put it off until the wee hours of the morning. I'll let you know how that goes.
