Well, I meant to be writing code for distracer all night, but I need Tim to explain some cryptic, uncommented functions to me and he isn't online. I'm therefore splitting my time between watching episodes of Battlestar Galactica and, starting as soon as I finish writing this entry, learning Ruby on Rails.
Why? A number of reasons.
- I've been meaning to learn Ruby ever since I heard it described as a prettier, oopier version of Perl.
- In general, I believe it's a good idea to be familiar with more languages.
- I'm doing more and more web applications for work.
- Jeff recently whined about a lack of Ruby programmers in his blog.
